We take pride in our long history of compassion, which we have been working with since 1882. Samariterhemmet Diakoni is an economically and legally independent foundation based on a Christian value base. About 80 people work with us in care and nursing, social services, education, and property management.

As a care assistant at Ebbagården, you will work in a warm environment that rests on a strong value base and is characterized by giving the elderly hope and joy of life, dignity, community, wholeness, and service. Ebbagården is Uppsala's most central residence, close to public transport and green areas such as Stadsträdgården and Fyrisån. Ebbagården has 33 apartments distributed over three floors with 11 residents in each department. We actively strive to provide the elderly with a meaningful existence and work based on a well-developed activity concept.
Ebbagården is organizationally part of the area of operations Care & Support, which also includes Utsikten – an LSS operation for younger people with dementia. There is also close cooperation with Samariterhemmet's educational unit, which conducts support pedagogue and specialist care assistant training.
About the role
As a care assistant, you help create a safe, meaningful, and pleasant everyday life for the residents – where each day is characterized by care, community, and dignity.
The role includes regular tasks such as personal care, activation, social care, and service, based on individual needs. Relatives are an important part of the work, and we want you to contribute to good contacts with relatives. Social documentation and delegated health and medical tasks are included in the position.
You should be able to work on a schedule with evening and weekend shifts. The role is floor-wide and should be a flexible resource across Ebbagården's three departments.
Your personal qualities are important to us! You have a great interest in people and are confident in yourself. We also see that you find it easy to collaborate and communicate with your colleagues and are meticulous in your work.
The position is part-time with approximately 60-80% working hours. Working hours are scheduled for evenings on weekdays and weekends. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for you who:
- have care assistant training, are studying to become a care assistant/nurse, or have experience that the employer deems equivalent
- have experience working in elderly care
- have good knowledge of the Swedish language (spoken and written)
- have good computer skills
Meritorious:
- experience with dementia
Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
